Masato Sakai who plays the role of main character SANADA Nobushige was once a famous supporting actor. But he became popular as leading actor when he starred in “Hanzawa Naoki” broadcast in 2013. It is his third appearance in Taiga Drama following to “Shinsengumi!” (2004) and “Atsuhime” (2008).
Yo Oizumi who acts SANADA Nobuyuki, elder brother of Nobushige became known when he started appearing on a TV programme “Suiyo Dodesho” (How do you like Wednesday?) . He is also known as stage actor and voice actor.
Masao Kusakari, who was a model and later became an actor. He acts SANADA Masayuki, father of Nobuyuki and Nobushige. In 1985, he played the role of SANADA Yukimura (Nobushige) in “Sanada Taiheiki” and now he respects for the activity of Tetsuro Tanba who plays Sanada Masayuki in it.
Needless to say, some supporting actors as Seiyo Uchino (TOKUGAWA Ieyasu), Kenichi Endo (UESUGI Kagekatsu), Hideo Kurihara (SANADA Nobutada, brother of Masayuki), Masanobu Tskashima (HOJO Ujimasa) and Masahiko Nishimura (MUROGA Masatake) make the drama exciting so do the actresses as Mitsuko Kusabue (Tori, grandmother of Nobuyuki and Nobushige), Atsuko Takahata (Kaoru, wife of Masayuki) and Masami Nagasawa (Kiri, childhood friend of Nobushige).
