パペットホームズ、大河ドラマなどの好きなテレビ番組やラグビーについて書いています。アフィリエイトはやっていません。/Welcome to my blog. I write about some Japanese TV programmes including NHK puppetry and Taiga Drama, Sherlock Holmes and rugby. I don't do affiliate marketing.
There are various elements in "The Adventure of the Cheerful Four". It's adapted as a musical (or drama with some songs) and especially the fact that the vocal group is formed by four pupils and the trouble over a song remind me of the Beatles. And the Sholto twins scat "Golden Slumbers" as cradle song that is arranged and announced by Paul MaCartney. Above all, Arthur resembles Paul.
Besides "Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565" is used as sound effect. And during the search in the twins' room, Holmes says "Where does a wise man hide a tree? In the forest." that may be based on "Where does a wise man hide a leaf? In the forest." from "The Innocence of Father Brown". Needless to say, Holmes' words "The work is my own reword" are so famous.
