He is a fictional figure who serves several rulers after the fall of the Suwa clan. He is a father of Hisa and father-in-law of Heizo.
He and Hisa find Heizo who falls unconscious because of dangerous fever after their visit to Suwa Shrine. Later he employ him. After the hara-kiri (suicide) of SUWA Yorishige, he serves Oi Sadataka with Heizo but Sadataka is deceived by TAKEDA Harunobu. Then they flee to MURAKAMI Yoshikiyo. Heizo is appreciated by Yoshikiyo and he feels happy about it. Though he is told by SUDA Shinzaemon, superior vassal of Yoshikiyo that he wants to have Hisa as his concubine, he refuses it and makes her marry Heizo.
When SUNOHARA Sozaemon, one of the vassals of SANADA Yukitaka asks Yoshikiyo to support him to attack his master, he is ordered to join the attacking force by Shinzaemon (*). He is eager to distignguish himself but what Sozaemon says is a false. Then he is taken by surprise by Yukitaka and AIKI Ichibei. In it, he and KOJIMA Gorozaemon, who is said to have been a great soldier of Yoshikiyo die.
(*) It seems that Shinzaemon revenges on Jugoro who refuses his request.
