パペットホームズ、大河ドラマなどの好きなテレビ番組やラグビーについて書いています。アフィリエイトはやっていません。/Welcome to my blog. I write about some Japanese TV programmes including NHK puppetry and Taiga Drama, Sherlock Holmes and rugby. I don't do affiliate marketing.
The words "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." in the article "Furuhata Chugakusei 2″is used in "The Adventure of Henry Baskerville and a Dog" by Watson. And in "The Adventure of the Cheerful Four",Holmes says "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains must be the truth." that is used in "Furuhata Chugakusei" also but not by Furuhata, the main character of the drama but by Nonoyama, teacher of science. he also says that there is no difference between reasoning and science. It suggests the deduction style of Sherlock Holmes.
I watched the drama produced in 2008 on DVD and found that the puppetry series seems to be based on it. The Holmes' words in the series as "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." that originate from "The Sign of the Four" and "Wherever Holmes go, Watson will follow him."are used in it already. The drama itself is based on "The Red-Headed League" and Deputy Headmaster Moriwaki is not a sworn enemy of Furuhata who always reads "The Return of Sherlock Holmes". Besides there are many points in common between it and the puppetry series. I will explain its outline soon.
"Furuhata Chugakusei" (A junior high school pupil Furuhata) is an episode of the series of FURUHATA Ninzaburo written by Koki Mitani who write this puppetry series also. In it, Furuhata is pupil of a junior high school in the countryside and establishes the innocense of his classmate Otokichi Mukojima of a trouble in the school. It is Deputy Headmaster Moriwaki who suspects him. Needless to say, Moriwaki sounds similar to Moriarty. Though the series is based on "Columbo", the episode influences the NHK puppetry probably. And Kazuyuki Asano, who acted the deputy headmaster in it voices Grimesby Roylott, teacher in charge of life guidance in the puppetry.
